Anticipation lacking.
I wonder what level of hunger is required to assess a meal fairly.

No matter, we'll do this with neutral to low hunger

By appearance alone I can clearly see the high oil content as I've had to wash my hands twice before even eating.

The smell is of a dark, roasted, southern Indian cooking style with powerful hints of herbs especially bay leaves.

The first mouthful was nothing short of disappointing. My first thought that it was going to be a chore to finish this. However, by the end of this sneaky meal, I left hungrier than when I started.

The lamb in this dish was the mysterious, ever out of grasp perfection we as human crave. As the lamb sat in its own juices being cooked further, by the end it was as delicate as butter. A sensational level of bite as not too soft to be revolting, nor too hard to tire the jaw. It's as if the meat was an extension of the rice in texture, whilst the sauce seeped it's way deeper into the fibers causing a gentle explosion of flavors throughout the taste buds.

I'm shocked by the level of hunger I've gained on departure from the meal. It's as if it awoken the long forgotten caveman like desire for meat that lay dormant in my DNA for many millennia. I am also perplexed as to how the strong flavour profile seemed to dull itself on progression. Without this natural dulling, I suspect the meal would be too overpowering and inedible beyond the forth bite.

I am beyond satisfied, my only quarrel would be that I wish there was more.
Marvelous job. However the oil does seem to high as post meal I feel it's residual affects throughout my body. Sluggishness approaching with a craving for more oily foods soon to come.

Despite it's delectability, I would not jump back in to having another. It's heavy, strong and almost too overpowering. On a bad day I foresee the curry to be ruined by only a few ingredients too much. The saving grace was the Lamb. Without such a superb meat flavour and texture, this dish's enjoyability would drop significantly.

Overall, it was most solid work. I offer a favourable recommendation for hungry folk who shy not from a strong, richly Indian meal.
